Last week a selection of this year’s Young Cook Competition finalists were given the opportunity to work in the award winning Kitchen of the Dog at Wingham. Three of the finalists Abby Latymer, Thomas White and Sophia Lee spent the evening before the event at a master class and a tour of the venue with the Dog’s Amazing Team.

On the day Joseph Rowlstone and Emily Attwell prepared their starter and main under the supervision of the Dog’s award winning head chef Rob Mantegna. 

In addition two young people, Megan Marvier and Fraya Carter, from EKC Group Broadstairs College, who did such an amazing job running front of house at the finals, were invited to lead the team at the Young Cooks Showcase.
