Buster Bug was excited to start the new academic year with a visit to Archbishop Courtenay Primary School! Thanks to funding support from Maidstone Dawn Patrol Rotary Club, Archbishop Courtenay pupils will be starting Buster’s Book Club and reading lots of books; magazines and comics at home to log their reading ‘minutes’.
Pupils joined in a reading of ‘Hairy Maclary from Donaldson’s Dairy’ by Lynley Dodd, which is a favourite of Camilla, Queen Consort as well as learning that Queen Elizabeth enjoyed Dick Francis novels. A quick hands up survey showed, books, comics and recipes were high on the pupils’ own favourites to enjoy.
Buster Bug is looking forward to seeing how well Archbishop Courtenay pupils do with their reading!
